Trase Finance

Trase Finance links the trade in commodities to investors and lenders worldwide to bring transparency to the direct and indirect financing of tropical deforestation.  It enables financial institutions and institutional investors to improve the sustainability of their portfolios and better manage their deforestation risk.

The tool uses publicly available and vendor-procured data to map financing and ownership of commodities trading companies at scale.  Its supply chain mapping links financial markets to the trade of commodities that drive deforestation.

It enables civil society and governments to identify and monitor the lenders and investors and hold them to account for their actions.
