En-ROADS (Energy-Rapid Overview and Decision-Support) is a simulation model in various languages for exploring how global energy and climate challenges can be addressed through large-scale policy, technological, and societal shifts.
It allows for creation of scenarios that consider how changes in taxes, subsidies, economic growth, energy efficiency, technological innovation, carbon pricing, fuel mix, and other factors would change global carbon emissions and temperature. En-ROADS is designed to serve as the basis for scientifically rigorous conversations around addressing climate change.
It is intended for interactive use by groups to help in the decision-making of policymakers in government, business, and civil society.
