SHARECITY

The SHARECITY project has developed the online SHARECITY100 Database and resources to locate how and where food is being shared in 100 cities globally.  Food sharing is a significant transformative mechanism for sustainable cities.

SHARECITY explores ITC-facilitated food sharing in urban contexts and the potential challenges and opportunities.  It is based on a collaborative and trans-disciplinary approach and employs innovative social science and collaborative research methods to explore the practices and sustainability potential of food sharing within cities.

The resources explain the practice and sustainability potential of sustainable food sharing communities and the benefit of city-based food sharing economies.
