BuildAction enables sustainable development advocates to communicate, collaborate and advocate for the protection of their living space.  BuildAction helps stakeholders to actively engage in the socioeconomic and ecological development of their communities.

BuildAction facilitates coordination of collaborative action between stakeholders and sharing the common cause with other like-minded advocates.  Communities thereby enhance civic and cross-sectoral participation for their protection and sustainable development.

BuildAction is a stakeholder participation toolkit that improves the effectiveness and efficiency of engagement of stakeholders in their communities.  It provides an open and transparent mechanism for interested parties to engage with community stakeholders to address issues that are important to them.

The BuildAction Baden bei Wien Community serves as a model for other communities to take action in the local language to encourage the community, relevant authorities, decision-makers, and politicians to take measures for the protect our living space.  It serves as a template for other communities to mobilize stakeholders for the common cause.

Gallery provides for pictures of local elements of nature and natural landscapes worthy of protection.  Enablers, Concerns, Alert!, Petition, Projects, Resources, News and Events improve the quality of public decision-making and policy and the verifiability and accountability of participatory mechanisms.  Share the BuildAction initiative and commitment to the common cause with others.

Community-based organizations are an essential link between those affected and the emergency responders as they disseminate information, coordinate resources, and provide assistance in the event of emergency and disaster.  BuildAction actively promotes and encourages their support.

To find or add a community and encourage its sustainable development and protection:

  1. Register (free) and log in.  Note: You will receive an activation email to complete your registration.
  2. Go to a Community or Add a Community of your choice.
  3. Go to the Enablers tab and click the [Add Local Enabler] button.
  4. Become a community leader and steer interaction and moderate community actions for the sustainable development of your community.

    Support local relief and response organizations to provide emergency aid and help protect our living space.  Work directly with the organizations that encourage the sustainable development and protection of the community and use BuildAction as a funding mechanism geared towards them.
