Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) works towards stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that will prevent dangerous human interference with the climate system.  Based in Bonn, Germany, the secretariat helps governments and institutions meet the Global Development Goals.

The UNFCCC supports climate change negotiations and the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement.  It also helps scale up climate action at all levels and in all sectors of society, including cities, regions, businesses and investors.

It assists governments and institutions deal with the inevitable impacts of climate change.
