Trase (TRAnsparency for Sustainable Economics) is a science-based supply chain transparency initiative built around an open-access information platform. It is a partnership between the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and Global Canopy, in collaboration with Vizzuality, EFI and other organizations and individuals.
Trase takes a unique approach to mapping agricultural supply chains. It combines customs, shipping, tax, logistics and other data to connect regions of production via trading companies to countries of import.
Its tools allow users to view the trade profile of a company or production region and explore their sustainability to identify risks and opportunities facing downstream buyers.
