School Strike 4 Climate (SS4C) Australia is a movement of school students in Australia who skip classes on Fridays to participate in demonstrations to demand action from political leaders to prevent climate change and for the fossil fuel industry to transition to renewable energy
Variously also know in other countries as School Strike for Climate, Fridays for Future (FFF), Youth for Climate, Climate Strike or Youth Strike for Climate, it is an international movement of school students united by their concern for the future of the planet.
SS4C Australia demands:
- Net zero by 2030, meaning no new coal, oil or gas projects;
- 100% renewable energy generations and exports by 2030; and
- The funding of a just transition and job creation for all fossil-fuel workers and their communities.
