The Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ASBC) – Österreichische Gesellschaft für Nachhaltige Immobilienwirtschaft (ÖGNI) – is an Austrian non-governmental organization (NGO) for establishing sustainability in the real estate industry. Based in Vienna, the ASBC is a cooperation partner of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the only established member of the World Green Building Councils (WorldGBC) in Austria.
The ASBC certifies property development projects according to the DGNB system. It evaluates the sustainability of "blue buildings" through their entire life cycle.
The ASBC aims to create environmentally and resource friendly buildings with high economic and social efficiency through quality building certification.
