he Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institution with capacity to address global public health challenges through research, translation and education, with 385 members from 31 different countries. ISGlobal is an innovative alliance between the ”la Caixa” Foundation and academic and government institutions and affiliated with the University of Barcelona and the University Pompeu Fabra.
ISGlobal has a broad research portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases with special attention to environmental health determinants. Research is organized in 9 different programs and its approach is multidisciplinary.
ISGlobal contributes to the efforts undertaken by the international community to address the challenges in global health.
