The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) is an independent think tank working to create a world where people and the planet thrive. It is a Canadian registered charitable organization that supports sustainable development around the world, with over 100 staff and associates in over 30 countries.
Its areas of strategic focus are economic law and policy, energy, resilience, water, integrated knowledge, and reporting services. Its mission is to promote human development and environmental sustainability through innovative research, communication and partnerships.
The initiatives and projects of the IISD are intended to lead to a stronger and more sustainable future.
