INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) is a nonprofit organization that supports supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in developing countries to sustainably enhance their performance and capacities. Based in Norway, IDI is part of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and staffed with multicultural, experienced professionals.
IDI focuses on institutional and professional capacity development and supports SAIs in over 140 countries to strengthen their performance. Each country has a supreme audit institution whose job is to audit public funds as an effective, accountable and inclusive institution.
IDI aims to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of these countries.
