The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) is a nonprofit, community-run organization based in the Roxbury neighborhood within the City of Boston, MA. DSNI empowers residents of the Dudley neighborhood of Roxbury and North Dorchester to organize, plan for, create and control a vibrant, diverse and high-quality neighborhood in collaboration with community partners.
DSNI is known as the first and only community-run grassroots organization to gain the power of "eminent domain", allowing the community to control its own development and the use of the land. Each plan to improve the neighborhood is created for and by its residents.
The DSNI seeks to organize, plan for, create and control a vibrant, high-quality and diverse neighborhood in collaboration with community partners.
