The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) is an independent "left-leaning" think tank focusing on economic policy, international trade, environmental justice and social policy.  Based in Ottawa with offices in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Regina, Toronto and Halifax, the CCPA is one of Canada’s leading progressive voices in public policy debates.

The Centre organizes conferences, publishes pamphlets, and produces booklets and reports created by volunteer researchers.  The Monitor is its regularly-published flagship magazine that complies analyses conducted by their researchers and affiliates.

The CCPA investigates the key challenges facing Canada, including the high rate of poverty, economic insecurity, the extreme concentration of wealth, and threats to the environment and climate.
