Council Alliance for a Sustainable Built Environment (CASBE) is an independent alliance of councils in Victoria, Australia, operating under the auspices of the Municipal Association of Victoria. CASBE provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas on innovation and best practice in environmentally sustainable development (ESD).
CASBE effectively represents and advocates the collective views of member councils, strengthens partnerships, and provides leadership in ESD policy and practice. Its focus is on applying ESD principles to the built environment through the statutory planning system
CASBE is committed to ensuring that future generations can enjoy a sustainable built environment.
