Austrian Economic Chambers (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich WKO) is the parent organization for the nine provincial chambers for different industries and trade bodies within Austria's economy at the federal level.  Most provincial chambers have local offices.

Membership in the WKO is compulsory.  It is required of all businesses that based in Austria that can be assigned to a trade in accordance with the Austrian Trade Regulation Act (Gewerbeordnung).

Its primary function is to help shape the economic framework in the Austrian legal system and promote foreign trade.  This is achieved through representation of interests, consulting, service and training services for businesses.
