The Austrian Institute of Ecology – Österreichisches Ökologie-Institut – is a nonprofit, nongovernmental research organization headquartered in Vienna. The association is committed to curbing man-made climate change and supports the decarbonization of Austria.
The Austrian Institute of Ecology facilitates interaction between society and the environment using methods for participative research, considering technological risks. It organizes and moderates event, provides digital information systems and publications and media relations work. It also encourages the management of resources and sustainable urban development.
The interdisciplinary team works on innovative ideas and provides solutions for the sustainable development of the built environment to the needs of clients.
