The combined forces of individuals and stakeholders drive the sustainability of communities.  Together, local citizens and businesses are the driving force in initiating a circular economy and the sustainable development and operation of communities.

The active participation of citizens and stakeholders at the local level is critical for the protection and development and operation of the local built environment.  Meetings, forums and petitions provide citizens with an open, democratic, and transparent mechanism to direct issues of concern to their government policymakers for them to address and for which they are accountable.

Taking action calls for resources and the involvement of others.  News, blog articles, reports and other public information are used to validate stakeholder concerns.  Various open resources cover the policies and governance of the socioeconomic transformation of societies at the international, domestic and local levels, including the specific roles of legislation, litigation, subnational government and the private sector in these processes.

Part of strategic planning and action management is awareness of the resources to take successful action.  For this, resources are available that facilitate the intended social and political change and collaboration with like-minded organizations that may join forces in taking the appropriate action.

Petitioning is a long-established fundamental right of the citizen and the only direct means by which governments are asked to take action.  Petitions enable the general public to participate in governance by mobilizing mass democratic support for a particular policy or action.

BuildAction enables stakeholders to engage and take action for the sustainable development and operation of communities and a circular economy and encourages the involvement of the enablers and policymakers.  It facilitates your petitioning governmental authorities, public office holders and policymakers to take action to adapt their policies and strategies to meet their duty of care toward their citizens.
