The regulation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in investment and corporate decision-making in capital markets has reached a tipping point. This report points to an urgent need for policy makers to agree on pragmatic, actionable targets leading to the creation of clear, consistent technical standards and benchmarks. This will enable the reallocation of capital and skills as investors rush to factor new ESG realities into decision-making.
