Social, Economic & Ecological Development Intersectoral Solutions

Development utilizes human, natural and economic resources.  Sustainability in the built environment calls for the responsible use of these resources for the benefit of all socioeconomic stakeholders and collaboration between all sectors – government, business and civil society.  SEEDIS is an independent nonprofit initiative for individuals, academics, government authorities professionals, practitioners, and service providers to promote solutions for the protection and the sustainable development, operation, governance of communities.   

Sustainable development aims to transform unsustainable elements in developing the built environment to a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable global ecosystem.  Because of its significance in socioeconomic development, SEEDIS focuses on the built environment.

SEEDIS provides the BuildAction platform for all stakeholders to exchange knowledge and solutions to facilitate the urgent transition to a circular economy:

• Countries – Government policies regulate business and provide the business enabling sustainable development environment;
• Communities – Municipal authorities enable and permit the sustainable development of land and property in their jurisdiction;
• Companies – Sustainable construction requires the commitment of all participants along the project value chain; and
• Civil society – Sustainable development results from the participation, engagement and actions of the citizens of the planet.

SEEDIS advocates the sustainable development and operation of the built environment through the promotion of cross-sectoral solutions.  We collaborate and provide complementary resources and competencies to mitigate sustainability risk, maximize value creation and take the necessary action for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.

SEEDIS is an advocacy for all private-, public, and third-sector stakeholders in the development of communities to promote solutions for their protection and sustainable development.   We encourage the engagement of the stakeholders to ensure an objective, fact-based advocacy for sustainable socioeconomic development.  We aim to further a better understanding of the challenges and solutions through stakeholder participation and collaboration.

BuildAction is a stakeholder participation solution provided by SEEDIS for the exchange of experience, insights and knowledge to accelerate the transformation towards the sustainable development of the built environment.  It is a platform for countries, communities, companies, and civil society to cooperate, collaborate and encourage sustainable development and use of land, buildings and infrastructure and the responsible utilization of the productive resources.  The stakeholders deliver the solutions for such sustainable socioeconomic development.
