Why is he acting exactly like a Russian asset would?  A few years ago, it would have looked like mission impossible for even the most capable Russian spy.  Divide the United States from its allies?  Undermining international mutualistic relationships, encouraging cooperative partnerships between nations?  Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, requiring international cooperation on UN SDG transformation and other international accords?  Discredit its normative power (human rights, the rule of law, democracy, altruism)?  Weaken U.S. institutions to make further manipulation easier?  One could go on.  But it’s simpler to try testing the opposite hypothesis and ask what one thing that U.S. President Donald Trump has done since taking office that has not be to the benefit of the Kremlin.
