The Climate Action Tracker (CAT) is an online app that provides an up-to-date science-based assessment of individual national pledges to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. The tool tracks and measures government climate action against agreed emission commitments of countries – nationally determined contributions (NDCs).
The Climate Action Tracker regularly publishes updated information on countries’ emission reduction policies. It reports the latest status of the progress on the NDCs and identifies the adequacy of action taken by countries in meeting their commitments for the Paris Agreement.
CAT quantifies and evaluates the NDCs and assesses the progress of countries on meeting them.
