The World Environment Day on 5 June 1988 celebrated the theme “When People Put Environment First, Development Will Last”. On this day, Janet MacKenzie, gave an informal speech that inspired HOPE Australia with the slogan ‘Think Globally – Act Locally’ and inspired her to establish the “HOPE Generator”.
