UL Environment certifies products that comply with its rigorous formaldehyde, emissions, and chemical testing requirements and issuer of the GREENGUARD Certification. It is a business division of UL (Underwriters Laboratories), which is headquartered in Marietta, GA, USA.
UL Environment aims to improve the quality of air and strives to reduce people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants by helping manufacturers create and consumers identify products and materials that have low chemical emissions. It is also the operator of SPOT, UL’s web-based product sustainability information tool.
SPOT features GREENGUARD certified products and facilitates (product catalog) for the selection of sustainable products.
